SS304 contains 18% chromium and 8% nickel while SS316 contains 16% chromium, 10% nickel and 2% molybdenum. The molybdenum is added to help resist corrosion to chlorides (like sea water and de-icing salts). Type 316 is durable, easy-to-fabricate, clean, weld and finish. It is considerably more resistant to solutions of sulphuric acid, chlorides, bromides, iodides and fatty acids at high temperature. Stainless steels containing molybdenum are required in the manufacture of certain pharmaceuticals in order to avoid excessive metallic contamination.
USING THE LOW-CARBON VERSION (304L/316L)
The low carbon reduces the chance of “weld sensitization” , or “weld decay.” This is a form of localized, severe corrosion that may take place in the heat effected zone

MS WELDED WIRE MESH
Welded Wire Mesh is manufactured conforming to IS:1566 (General Purpose) & IS:4948 (concrete reinforcement) We have our own wire drawing plant (for captive consumption) to draw wires from wire rods. These wires are cold drawn and conform to IS : 432 – Pt II / 1982 which specifies and ultimate tensile strength of 570 N/mm2 and a characteristic strength of 480 N/mm2. MS Welded mesh is manufactured from wire diameter ranging from 1.2mm to 8mm upto a maximum width of 2m. We have four welders in our plant to ensure timely supply to our customers. We also manufacture welded mesh from tor-steel (tor-kari) from wire diameter of 4mm-8mm (rebar)
